Cox I’ll follow you down Everything was hazy like he’d opened his eyes underwater. His eyes burned and itched and most of the time he barely felt like he could keep them open. He’d been restless since he got there; he’d barely moved from the corner of the lobby he’d taken over unless it was to go to the bathroom, or be taken back to his room. It was there in the lobby, a few days before that he’d seen it. It, being a large stuffed lion that a man toted in. The lion would be his. He would call it Aslan. All lions were named Aslan. (At least they were in Eli’s book As the man had walked past that day, Eli got up and followed, and he’d been following the man for the past two days now. Eli followed a couple of paces behind the man. He kept his eyes down, trained on the soles of the man’s shoes as they clacked against the floor. The sound reminded him of the horse hooves he’d heard when he was taken to the stables a few years ago. He’d wanted to ride the horse so bad when his Mama took him to see them, but he was too scared. The thought of his Mama made him let out a small, pitiful sound, and he started digging his nails into a bite mark on his forearm. Eli watched as the men went into the library. He eventually followed him in if only see if that where the man kept Aslan. When Eli walked in, and didn’t see the lion in sight he let out a groan and picked at his arm again. All he wanted was Aslan. Word count: Enough || Tag: Peri || Notes: Sorry so short. credit goes to cbd |
