He's got a gentle air about him and he's been told multiple times that he's an amazing listener. Instead of focusing on his own problems, Cael would rather help someone else with theirs. He will always put his friends before himself. Cael has a very bad habit with letting people walk all over him but he doesn't mind so much. One of the worst qualities that he harbors is that he is extremely timid and awful with words. Being in the presence of people he doesn't know scares him and discourages him greatly. brief history: At the age of eight, Cael's mother and father left him with his maternal grandparents in hopes of exploring the world. As he grew older, Cael begun to view himself as a burden to other people and started to frown upon making friends in fear that he would become a nuisance to them as well. As the years passed, Cael begun engrossing himself in books and sciences to get away from the pain he felt regarding his parents. He picked up smoking shortly after he entered high school and found solance within it. One day, depression built up inside of him and he put one of his cigarettes out on his wrist. More than anything, Cael grew fond of that pain and used it to replace the feelings of loneliness. After his grandparents found out about his masochistic ways after catching him cutting his legs, they sent him to White Springs in hopes of deterring him from his addiction to self harm. roleplay sample: It would be silly not to admit that he did have an extremely intimidating aura about him. Dallas prided that and honed in on it to use as one of his advantages. Typically, he could get his way with one flash of his angry eyes. Intimidation was amazing, in the right light. In another light, it got him a pretty bad reputation with his classmates as the "scary druggie". Hey, people labeled what they didn't know, and they certainly did not know Dallas. It's not like he expected that anyone ever would, but the idea of having a friend or two didn't bother him. He only really had a few close friends and even then Dallas wasn't quite sure they understood him. Toying with the idea in his head seemed fun, though confiding in a young girl? The fact that she was a sophomore disheartened him, but Olive seemed... mature. Maybe she wasn't, but she was giving off that vibe so far. Was it foolish to want to find a companion like this? Regardless of any rational reasoning, Dallas knew his impulsive side would dominate this subject. It was perfectly alright though. She was pretty, and he liked that enough to want to willingly shove aside any reasoning he could to make room for having a sweet young girl in his life. The bad in him said corruption was absolutely necessary, yet the good half-heartedly disagreed. Hey, he couldn't always be good. "I don't think your age bothers me too much." He had said after a while of thinking the subject over. Didn't girls mature seven years before boys or something like that? Dallas would never admit that she could potentially be more mature than he; she could probably challenge him, though. He would certainly have to see.
