He doesn’t know how to act around people he’s just meeting, or even people he’s known for years. He stutters slightly when he talks, just because he gets so nervous. It’s not that noticeable when he first speaks, if he only says his name or just a few words. If he actually starts talking to you, it’s very noticeable, and he hates it because he gets picked on quite a bit because of it. He’s very depressed because of how much he is bullied as well. He refuses to take the antidepressants he’s given though, because he doesn’t believe he needs to take them. He’s a bit stubborn, but is more of a pushover, and tends to back down from arguments, even when he’s right. He tends to buckle under pressure. brief history: Simon has always been a shy kid. He wasn’t raised different his older sister, but they were complete polar opposites. She never had a problem getting out and making friends, but he always did. He could never hold a conversation without breaking it or stuttering or doing something to make the person walk away. He only ever had one friend. His name was Jack, and they met on the first day of kindergarten. They were immediately best friends; the two social outcasts of the class. It wasn’t cool to have a teenage mutant ninja turtle backpack or a spiderman backpack apparently, although the two boys found nothing wrong with it. They stuck together though, and were best friends all throughout kindergarten and up until high school. Jack wasn’t as lucky as Simon was; he didn’t have a loving family, or a good home like Simon. His parents were extremely abusive towards him, and Simon knew. Simon and Jack always talked about running away together, starting a new life in a new town, but they never did. Jack knew Simon was gay, and he knew about Simon’s feelings for him. He felt the same way, but he would never let Simon know. One day, Jack didn’t show up for school. He didn’t answer any of Simon’s texts or calls. As soon as school was over, he ran to ‘their spot’, a small clearing in the woods behind their house, where they snuck out every night to. There he found a small box. In the box contained a note, along with everything that Simon had ever given to Jack, from kindergarten up until their senior year of high school. The note explained Jack couldn’t take it anymore, and would commit suicide that day during school. It also explained that Jack was sorry for this, and how he truly felt about Simon. Simon didn’t even get through the note before he was up and running to Jack’s house. He found Jack lying in the middle of his bedroom, an empty bottle of pills in his hand. Simon called 911 before running home. He had already made his decision. He grabbed his father’s pistol and went into his room, locking the door behind him. He didn’t realize his sister was home though. His sister broke down the door and saved him before anything happened. She called their parents and they rushed home. They put him into therapy immediately and never let him alone. Before Jack’s death, he never really had a problem with eating; he just didn’t do it often. After though, Simon had refused to eat anything, and had to be force fed to get nutrients in. When they realized Simon was really trying to kill himself, they checked him into White Springs. roleplay sample:.psh no arieee || 16 || four or five years || indeed~ |
