Anna sighed as she pulled on her dress, zipping it up the back. She stepped in front of the mirror, putting her hands on her hips and pursing her lips slightly. She wasn’t really trying to impress anyone at this dance, because after all it was just a stupid dance for the patients. She was only a chaperone, and she could’ve worn her work outfit if she really wanted to because it honestly didn’t matter. But she decided to dress up, if only a little bit. She slipped on her heels, running her hand through her long blonde hair before walking over to the door, taking a deep breath. She didn’t have a date, obviously as she was only a chaperone – and the person she really wanted to go with was already taken. She stepped out into the hallway, looking around to see if anyone else was heading out so she wouldn’t have to walk alone, before walking to the stairs.

Anna stepped into the building, looking around. The lights were dimmed, and some corny song that she didn’t know the name of was playing through the speakers. She smiled at a few of her patients she recognized before walking over to the drinks table, pouring herself a glass of punch, before moving off to stand in the corner. After all, she wasn’t here to have a good time or party, she was here to chaperone.

Thom stood before his mirror, tying the fabric around his neck. Today didn't feel right to him. He didn't like having to pretend to be single when he clearly had a girlfriend....who was currently seeing someone else! Wha? Yeah, it was pretty screwed. Hell, he was the screwed one. The last thing he wanted to do was walk into the dance and see Iris with some prick instead of him...Yeah, that's definitely what pained him the most about the whole thing. Maybe it wouldn't be all bad though. Anna was going to be at the dance wasn't she? He could use that to his advantage. Oh... this might just work out... He could teach Iris a bit of a lesson. Never mess with a Parker! Thom flashed the mirror a quick grin, walking out the door with a suddenly confident essence. This was bout to be awesome. Thom smirked entering the dance, moving toward the refreshment table, where he spotted Anna.

Anna wasn’t really sure what she was supposed to be doing. Most of these kids were over the age of 18, so she couldn’t exactly separate them if they were dancing too close or stop them from grinding on each other like most chaperones did at normal dances. This wasn’t exactly a normal dance though. What was she supposed to do then? Just sit around and watch them have ‘fun’ while she was miserable. She supposed so. She took a drink of her punch, leaning against the wall and folding her free arm across her stomach, her eyes scanning across the room. She really didn’t spot anyone she could start a conversation with…until Thom walked in. She knew he was supposed to chaperone, but she didn’t expect him to look that good. Who was she kidding though? He always looked that good. She let out a sigh of exasperation as he made his way over to her, giving a small smile. ”Nice suit.” She said, speaking a bit louder so she could be heard over the music.

Thom smiled at his patients. If only some of them washed their hair a bit more, he might be able to play match maker for them. It would be harder if they walked around like a bunch of grease monkey's which most of them enjoyed doing! It didn't seem as though Anna enjoyed looking like a scrub though. She was always put together and naturally this evening was no different. In fact, Thom could easily tear that shred of clothing straight off her perfect body. It took all of his focus not to stare at her breasts hungrily, or even her tight ass. It could have been the joint he smoked before getting ready for the dance..., or maybe that he was feeling lonely, but damn, did Anna look especially fuckable this evening. He almost wouldn't mind leaving Iris for Anna... She was the better lay... Oh shit! What was he thinking! Thom smacked his forehead with his palm a few dozen times, trying to make the thoughts leave his mind. Sadly it had no effect whatsoever.
"Wha? Oh thanks. You look.... hot, like always," Thom laughed softly, unable to control his internal dialog any longer

Anna never really gave much thought to her coworkers. She didn’t really talk to many of them, and didn’t befriend them unless she absolutely had to. She focused on her job far more than her personal life, which some might say was unhealthy, but that was just Anna. She had never even heard of ‘Iris’ until she found out Thom had a thing for her, which automatically made Anna hate her. She didn’t even know the woman and she hated her guts. She didn’t do her job right and was always slacking off…or at least Anna thought so. Whether it was true or not was a whole other story. Anna didn’t care if what she said about Iris was true or not, she just knew she didn’t like her, mainly because she was with Thom. Iris could be a very nice person, although Anna doubted it, and she would never find out because she couldn’t even stand to be in the same room was her.

Anna blushed slightly as she was complimented, smiling slightly. ”Er...thanks. I just kinda…threw something on.” That wasn’t exactly true, but that’s what she was going with. ”You look pretty…hot too.” She almost blushed as she complimented him as well, but kept her cheeks pale instead of pink, a small smirk crossing her lips as she took a sip of her punch.

"Dawg.... this is gonna suck ass," Thom groaned softly. He didn't know how he was going to weather the night. It was going to be pure misery. Not only for him, but also everyone he was around. Yeah, when Thom wasn't happen...Nobody was. That's why it happened so seldom. Moving to the refreshment table, the blond drained part of the bowl into his cup, downs it quickly. Why the hell did he work at a rehab clinic? If anything, he was the one that needed to be admitted to the clinic! Maybe he was being dramatic, maybe he'd be alright if he just avoided seeing Iris and her male companion, he'd be alright. He'd just stick with Anna for the night. Yeah, that's what he'd do!

"Did you want to dance or something?" Thom looked over at his co-worker, running a hand through his light hair. He flashed her a smirk, wishing he had some dope with him at the moment, or maybe even a shot of liquor to get through the rest of the night. Sadly, those things were the easiest to acquire, as he worked at a fucking rehab clinic! Damn, life sucked for Thomathon.

Anna looked up to Thom, laughing softly, his comment earning an eye roll from her. ”We’re not exactly here for our own entertainment, Thom. We’re here to chaperone.” She smirked softly, slowly shaking her head. Thom was a bit selfish on occasion, which made Anna wonder why he even got this job. It really made no sense to her, but she didn’t question him about it, not wanting to hurt his feelings by calling him selfish. She made a mental note in her head to ask him about it at a later date. Anna’s eyes scanned the room as she downed the rest of her punch, setting the cup down. She really hoped that no one had decided to spike the punch, because she’d be falling all over herself and would definitely do something she’d regret. She looked back up to Thom as he spoke again, arching her eyebrow. ”Dance? Really? I can’t exactly…dance. Well, I can, I just…I’m not good at it.” She chuckled nervously, folding her arms over her chest, shrugging slowly. She shifted awkwardly, flashing a small smile up towards him. She really hoped he would just go find Iris and therefore leave her by herself in the corner so she could be a good chaperone and not get distracted.
