Kennedy curled in her bed, a sigh escaping her lips. A bout of shakes having just past over her, she didn’t exactly know how to function anymore. She could barely roam the halls of the hospital without feeling as if her anxiety was going to cause her to hyperventilate and make her look like a fool, and with the Sadie Hawkins dance happening soon, she knew she couldn’t just act like more of a freak than most people were in this place. Shaking her head, her blonde hair fell over her shoulders, cascading down her face. She pushed herself against her headboard, forcing herself to not shake again, bringing one hand up from her legs to her face, pushing the hair that had fallen out of the way. Was she even going to go to the Sadie Hawkins? She could barely talk to a guy, let alone ask one to go with her to the dance and then proceed to spend the entire evening with him.
Her small legs stretched out, scooting her tiny body across her bed until she reached the edge. Short legs slipping off, thin arms pushing her up to a standing position. Looking down at her skirt, Kennedy bit her lip, almost self conscious of herself now. No, there was no time for that. Shaking her head, she moved her way out of the bedroom, blue eyes kept on the floor. No one could bother her if she kept her eyes down. The chatter around her was almost enough to cause her to be uncomfortable, picking the male voices out in the crowd around her. Her eyes flicked up once in a while, making sure she wasn’t going to walk into anybody. She continued her way, reaching the doors to go outside. It was quieter out there, not many people to cause an anxiety attack, to make her wish she could just find something to smoke.
The small girl made her way outside, walking slower now, more deliberately. Her head was up now, no longer cascading down the sides of her face and causing a shield to be formed around her. Instead, her bangs fell gently along her forehead, her hair creating a frame for her delicate face, her features soft as she stared up at the wilderness around her. It wasn’t long before she found herself in the gardens, surrounded by flowers as delicate as her features.
